Why Winter is the Best Time to Get Rid of Your Cellulite

During the colder months we all happily wrap our selves up in beautiful woolen fabrics, easily covering up that extra winter weight or those cellulite ridden thighs. Then as the weather warms up and the layers come off and we catch a glimpse of our self in the mirror, the panic sets in and we look for a quick fix to the excess weight and the lumpy thighs.

Cellulite and stored energy are like a layer of gooey stuff under the skin. When you have a lot, it can be quite solid and those bumps and lumps may not be too obvious. Everyone has a specific number of fat cells. An overweight person does not have more fat cells than a skinny person. They simply have larger ones.

So for those of the lean variety who have cellulite, it is also hanging on to your fat cells. So everyone has fat cells - if you loose weight you don't loose cells, they simply get smaller.

So when you start to loose the cellulite from your stored energy, those lumps and bumps may tend to appear worse as they break down and separate, and as they become fewer they can also become more pronounced. The fat cells will shrink and the waste and toxins that are clinging to those fat cells will start to break down but they won't go in an orderly manner.

Some lumps are bigger than others and some are softer than others - the smaller softer lumps will go first, the larger firmer ones will take a little longer so this can make the appearance of your thighs actually look worse during the second month of treatment. Once you are in the third month everything looks much better as most of your cellulite has gone.

As your thighs and buttocks may look worse during the second month of treatment it is better for this to happen when you can cover yourself up. We all know what it is like to be wearing jeans on a hot day because you are ashamed or your legs (or maybe you haven't shaved!). During the cooler months you can also massage in the special essential oils (in their carrier oil of course) and put on sports pants to keep in the warmth and those oils will sink in and do a lot of work for you.

Many women will panic when their cellulite looks worse after several weeks, terrified that their thighs are getting worse not better. But this is actually a time for celebrating and giving yourself a big hug as this is a sure and definite sign that you are doing everything right and your body is responding and will soon be completely free of all those ugly toxins and waste filled lumps.

I truly understand your fears, but this is a great sign that the cellulite is loosening, moving, and becoming less and less present, and those more stubborn lumps that are taking a bit longer seem to stick out more, so give those a good 'twiddling'.
