About Cortisol Blockers

Before going deep into the article, let me give you a brief idea about Cortisol. Whenever we are under stress, our body releases a stress hormone, known as Cortisol. In the body Cortisol is a potent signal that does two things: increases appetite and stores fat. This means that whenever we are under stress, the increased Cortisol in our body tells the brain that we are hungry and at the same time tells our fat cells to store as much fat as they can!

Nowadays there is a new wave of "Cortisol blockers" riding throughout the market, radio, television and magazines. Cortisol blockers are hyped as the latest weight loss/ muscle building appends that claim to block or dilute this hormone. Manufacturers claim that by lessening the level of Cortisol in the body, we can loose significant amount of weight.

In reality, these statements are completely misguiding!! These blockers do not do what they claim or declare oneself. Research has shown that Cortisol does excite fat deposits, but this happens due to medication or as a result of hormone imbalance. That means, an otherwise healthy-stressed individual does not produce enough Cortisol, and so would not gain from the Cortisol weight loss pill.

A advanced level of Cortisol in blood is definitely not a good thing; but there is no truth in the claims that are being made or stated by the makers or producers of Cortisol blockers. According to experts, there is no evidance that these blockers, have any effect on the body's cortisol levels.

So, if you think that you can loose weight by taking these Cortisol blockers- then forget about it! It is not only a misleading or ineffective diet pill, but can also be harmful to your health. It is better to opt for exercises or other natural weight loss supplements for reducing weight in a healthy and safe manner.
